About us

Boutique hotel ACTUM **** is the newest hotel in the historical centre of Kranj, just a few steps from its historic monuments, shops and museums. Mesto 138 or the Lokar house, which was the 18th century address of the building, was replaced by today’s Prešernova ulica 6. A newly-built town mansion replaced the old building after it burned down in 1811. It became home to the families of a surgeon named Luka Perg and also to merchants Anton Lokar and Franc Souvan. More recently it was used as the business headquarters for one of the most prominent Slovenian banks. The building has now been fully renovated as the Actum hotel, which opened in December 2011.

The Actum hotel thus has become a unique place where modernity and antiquity meet. We are also the first old-timer car theme hotel in Slovenia, with a permanent exhibition of classic cars. We have even incorporated parts of a classic car into our hotel décor, furniture and equipment.

Kranj, our home town, lies at the very heart of Slovenia and is ideally positioned for use as a base to visit every corner of this beautiful country. Kranj offers excellent road access to the Ljubljana international airport, a mere 10 min drive away; the Slovenian, Croatian and Italian coast, Austrian and Italian ski resorts and the pampering of the Slovenian spa resorts. Kranj also boasts sports infrastructure catering for the needs of every recreational or professional athlete.
